CREATE A NEW KANJI TEST USING THE ATTACHED TEMPLATE

Use the attached generator and approved landscape Word example to create
my new kanji test. All question content must come from the sentences I
provide below. Replace the sample questions completely.

DELIVER
- kanji_test.docx: editable student test
- kanji_test_answer.docx: editable teacher answer key
- kanji_test_preview.png and kanji_test_answer_preview.png
- Updated questions.txt containing my new questions
- PDF print copies if the renderer is available
For multiple pages, include previews of every page.

KEEP THIS APPROVED FORMAT
- US Letter LANDSCAPE: 11 inches wide × 8.5 inches tall.
- Authentic vertical Japanese writing: characters flow top to bottom.
- Question columns run RIGHT TO LEFT across the landscape sheet.
- Do not rotate horizontal text or replace the editable content with images.
- Keep approximately 0.6-inch margins, 15 pt Japanese Mincho text,
24 pt square kanji boxes, and 10 pt readings beside the boxes.
- Preserve the approved title and information fields:
  漢字テスト / 日付 / 氏名 / 得点
- Normally fit 10 short questions on one page with comfortable spacing.
- Add pages when needed; do not shrink text merely to force one page.
- Retain numbering and continuous sentence flow along one main vertical
axis, including sentences with multiple reading and writing targets.
- Put each kanji character in its own square box.
- Put the hiragana or blank reading-answer area immediately to the RIGHT
of the corresponding target boxes. Reading length need not equal the
  number of kanji characters.

INTERPRET MY QUESTIONS
*漢字|ひらがな* means READ:
Print the boxed kanji; leave the reading-answer area blank for students.

[漢字|ひらがな] means WRITE:
Print blank kanji boxes; print the supplied hiragana on their right.

The teacher key must show all correct kanji and readings in the same
layout. Never reveal reading answers in the student version.

Explicitly supplied readings take precedence over dictionary readings.
If I omit a reading, use the generator's validation. If it is ambiguous
or unresolved, ask me for that reading instead of guessing.

I may instead provide plain sentences with target lists such as:
監視 / かんし / READ
準備 / じゅんび / WRITE
Convert those notes to questions.txt without changing my sentences.
If a repeated target makes its intended occurrence unclear, ask me which
occurrence to mark. Do not silently change wording, punctuation, or readings.

EXECUTION INSTRUCTIONS FOR CODEX
1. Read START_HERE.txt and README.md. Inspect the supplied landscape
kanji_test.docx and kanji_test_preview.png as the approved reference.
2. Use generate_kanji_test.py and config.json from this package. Preserve
the layout implementation; replace questions.txt with my new content.
3. Check the available Python, Japanese font, LibreOffice, and Poppler.
The generator prefers bundled Codex rendering tools when available.
Use an installed Japanese Mincho font if Hiragino Mincho ProN is absent,
and verify its rendering. Do not assume paths from another computer.
4. Run validation before generation. Resolve any reported input problems.
5. Generate both Word documents from the same validated question data.
6. Render the actual DOCX files and inspect every page for upright Japanese
characters, correct punctuation, square boxes, readings on the right,
continuous text, correct page size, and no clipping or overlap.
7. Confirm the sample count fits the planned number of landscape pages.
Return the files with a short explanation. If rendering tools are
unavailable, explain what is missing; do not claim visual verification.

TEST TITLE
漢字テスト
(Change this title only if I supply a different one.)

MY NEW QUESTIONS
Replace the examples below with my actual questions. These lines illustrate
input notation; do not retain them when I supply a different set.

2. [慎重|しんちょう]に資料を*比較|ひかく*する。
3. *矛盾|むじゅん*した[証言|しょうげん]を調べる。
